Bitumen 80/100

Bitumen 80/100

The penetration value test is a standard method for determining the hardness or consistency of bituminous material.

For 80/100 grade bitumen, the penetration value ranges between 80 and 100, indicating the vertical distance (measured in tenths of a millimeter) a standard needle penetrates the bitumen under specified conditions of load, time, and temperature. This test is primarily used to evaluate the consistency of bitumen but is unsuitable for road tar due to its high surface tension.

Bitumen 80/100 is a high-quality asphalt derived from crude petroleum refining.

It is dark in color, waterproof, and adhesive, making it ideal for various construction applications.

This grade of bitumen is substantially non-volatile, softens gradually when heated, and is highly suitable for use in road construction and asphalt mixtures.

Its reliability and performance make it a preferred choice for paving projects.
