Medium Curing (MC) or Cutback bitumen is a liquid bitumen product at room temperature.
It is created by blending bitumen with petroleum solvents, such as kerosene. This formulation allows the product to be applied easily by spraying without requiring heating or specialized melting equipment.
After application, the solvent evaporates, leaving the bitumen in a solid state.
